The Offenders
Like everything in life, there is a right way to do something, a few other ways to do it and get away with it, and one way to do it that is simply WRONG: I am talking, as you probably already know if you work with scientists or American psychologists (they are two of the worst) about men who can spell hr management software backwards in two seconds and who cross their legs in that way that makes you think Does he have genitalia? If so, how is he able to do that without crushing it!
I’m not sure why I despise this so much; all I know is that the more intelligent the person, the more chance there is that they will be a culprit. The culprits’ level of crime ranges widely. You have those who do it and you feel sorry for them, then you have those who do it and you feel like throwing a vase at. These worst kind know they are sitting like this, and they practice doing it as often as they can.
To begin with I had only a mild hatred for these ‘camp sitters’, but over a period of years it has grown in to a monster. Nowadays I can’t be in the same room as a man who crosses their leg like this. Factors which increase the squeamish factor include the following: 1) interlocking the fingers and placing the hands on the lap. 2) Smiling sadistically while malevolently easing further and further back, thus making their crime more prominent. 3) swinging the foot to draw attention to the deed. There are hundreds more subtle ones, of course. What you see before you are just the general ones. It takes years of practice to recognize the really small additional factors.
