My Thoughts On The Newest Movie 2012
I have always been fascinated with natural disasters such as tornados or earthquakes. This is not to say that I would ever want to actually experience one, but to watch it on the television fascinates me. So, when the movie 2012 came out, I just had to watch it.
The movie is basically centered around how the Mayan calendar picks 2012 as the date of the end of the world. Complete with cities being swallowed up from earthquakes, tidal waves covering millions of people to large lava bombs flying through the air as the earth begins to explode in huge balls of fire, this movie tops the charts in my opinion. The special effects in this movie were astounding and the suspense of the movie starts almost immediately upon watching it.
Also, the actors they picked out for this movie were a perfect addition to a well made movie. They were not a random selection of performers but some well known actors who have been seen in big multi-million dollar pictures. The film kept you on your toes from beginning to end with a touch of humor in some scenes. I have to say that I never realized how wide I could get my mouth as my jaw hit the floor in a few scenes. With airplanes flying through crashing buildings and cars being sucked up into the ground, I was at the edge of my seat throughout the entire movie.
I do have to say that there were parts of the movie that were a little unrealistic to me and almost stupid such as the unexperienced pilot flying his plane sideways through debris and rubble coming from buildings or dodging lava balls in the air. Aside from that I absolutely loved the film and wouldn’t think twice about watching it again and maybe even again. It does leave you with questions in your head about the upcoming couple years.
Alright everyone, I have in the end, been able to sort out what everyone is going to owe me for the Caravan insurance for our holiday this summer. Please aim to get this to me by Wednesday so I can get it squared away before we are ready to leave.
