5 Simple Steps to Smoothing Out Wrinkles
Wrinkles are the bane of any age-conscious woman’s life, but as natural as they are, there are some steps that you can take to at least slow down the process and ensure that your skin is looking as good as it can be – and they don’t include the use of Botox or other injectables!
1. The first step is to stop any bad life> Too much alcohol dehydrates your skin which needs moisture to glow and retain its elasticity. Smoking prevents, among other things, collagen from doing its job and repairing skin that has become damaged. It also reduces the efficiency of blood flow within the blood vessels on your face – which in turns means that you lose your healthy glow as well as creating a place for wrinkles to thrive!
2. Watch what you eat. Eating a healthy nutritional diet can help promote healthy skin which in turn should keep the wrinkles at bay. Drinking water is one of the easiest, and yet most important ways of ensuring that your skin is hydrated so ensure that you drink the required amount of water each day.
3. Next take a look at what you’re using to cleanse your skin. Both harsh soaps, and hot water, will have an adverse effect on your skin. Even facial cleansers can harm your skin if they are too strong for your skin type. Make sure that you know what kind of skin you have, use an appropriate cleanser that contains as few chemicals as possible, and only ever use warm water on your face.
4. Never, ever go to bed leaving your make-up on. Finding the right kind of skincare products for your skin and then always ensuring a good evening skincare maintenance routine of cleansing, toning and moisturizing will ensure that your pores remain unclogged, and your skin properly hydrated.
5. Everyone knows that the sun is harmful on the skin, but if you want to sport a tan, but avoid the wrinkles, then you need to protect not just your skin, but also your eyes. One of the most common places to find wrinkles is around the eyes, and squinting in bright sunlight is one of the major causes of this. Prevent this by always ensuring you wear sunglasses when you’re outside in the sun.
None of the above are steps that require a lot of money, or time – they just need a bit of common sense and a willingness to be pro-active in the war against wrinkles. Keeping your skin healthy and supple longer will in turn keep the wrinkles down to a minimum!
